The Ideation Sessions

Play is not the opposite of serious work. It is how we, as our imperfect human selves, do our most honest, creative and courageous thinking. Each workshop has been developed with play as the central containers. This is not for the pure entertainment of the team, although it provides exactly that. By gamifying our approach we provide an environment which creates conditions for engagement and exchange which cannot be serviced through meetings, traditional workshops or strategy days

The Ideations Sessions are directly structured for creative play without the need for skills in art, writing or physical confidence. These sessions step away from traditional mentoring or coaching and instead offer a thinking and transformation partnership, allowing participants to be the experts of their own life and work. The sessions aim to help leaders and teams to access ideas, insights and direction that they would not normally reach on their own.

Who are these sessions for?

  • Individuals who are accomplished but restless. They are good at what they do and know it but feel like something is out of alignment . They are at an inflection point and know they do not need another framework or mentor or strategic plan. What they do need is to think and reflect more deeply, honestly and creatively than their usual environment allows.

  • Teams hitting a wall, with high performers who have gone stale and need a mindset reset. The sessions apply a creative approach to unlock what traditional training can not.

The Ideation Sessions as follows - with new offerings coming on line

  • Individual, 1:1 2 hour session. Unlike coaching, this is a partnered thinking opportunity where you are treated as the expert in your own life and work. This move across strategic clarity, creativity and human exchange and seeks to unlock patterns, opportunities and what is needed within a moment.

  • For those already accomplished by restless or at an inflection point, six weeks x 90 minute sessions as a thinking partnership (not coaching) using conversation, creative exercises and experimentation to enable you to articulate who you are, what you represent and what you intend to build..

  • Gamified session based on team trivia designed directly to your organisation, to understand team assumptions, bring clarity of action and remove siloed thinking.

  • Gamified session based on a fictional situation. Groups within the team play detective to access lateral thinking, evidence based reasoning and collaborative sense making to test their problem solving acumen.

  • Half day gamified session using a famous story tool approach to uplift communications skills within the team. Perfect for teams preparing for a significant pitch or presentation, or to assist in articulating change or innovation.scription

Our sessions are tailored to your organisation and team’s needs - their current situation, their beliefs and assumptions, and the expected arrival point of their desired direction.

We don’t simply turn up on the day. We undertake significant pre-work on all our group sessions to create a fully engagement experiential session that your team will be talking about long past the event.

We can also design specific gamified sessions dependent on the outcome you are wanting to achieve, whether this be in better communication, team codesign of project or change management.
